VENTURA — Bakersfield College’s women’s tennis team dropped its last dual match, 7-2 to Ventura College, on Tuesday, but the Renegades still improved leaps and bounds from last year.
“After going 0-15 last year, the team has really turned it around and finished 11-9 overall and 4-6 in conference,” first-year coach Nick Loudermilk said. “Coach Nick Jacobs (BC men’s coach and former women’s coach) put together an excellent team, and I got the most out of everyone on the squad for the whole season. We got five wins by the score of 5-4. That really shows the heart of this team.”
