A Bakersfield man who was previously convicted of a felony pleaded guilty Monday to being in possession of a loaded Russian assault weapon.
Bryson LaPaul Blair, 30, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for keeping the gun under his bed along with 145 rounds of ammunition, according to a news release from the office of U.S. Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner. Due to his felony conviction, Blair was prohibited from owning guns and ammunition.
