Cedar Fire six percent contained, has cost $2.5 million

The Cedar Fire has consumed 9,500 acres and is just six percent contained as of Friday morning, fire officials said.

The blaze that began Tuesday afternoon east of Glennville has cost about $2.5 million to date, according to fire officials. Full containment is expected Aug. 31.
