An Arvin man who was charged with second-degree murder in a drunken driving crash that killed a motorcyclist in May of last year has taken a plea deal that will result in a five-year prison term.
Angel Gutierrez Jimenez, 52, pleaded no contest Tuesday to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing injury. The murder charge, in which Jimenez faced 15 years to life in prison if convicted, was dismissed.
